Northern Cape Education MEC, Zolile Monakali, is visiting the Garies High School following a
three-week-long shutdown. Parents shut down the school saying the Department has failed to appoint a History and Technology teacher for matric learners as well as hostel cooks, cleaners, and a matron. The parents have warned they will not back down until all vacancies at the school have been filled. SABC reporter Reginald Witbooi brings us the story live from Garies.
