A memorial has been unveiled in memory of the seven girls kidnapped and presumably murdered by paedophile Gert Van Rooyen 30 years ago. The monument is at a property in Tshwane that Van Rooyen owned when he abducted the girls in the late 1980s.
Despite intense police investigations and widespread publicity, six of the seven girls have never been found. Van Rooyen committed suicide in 1990.
