Korea Vlog - Namdaemun market, Facial, Changdeok Palace, Secret Garden, Ikseon-dong, Ssamziegil

Decide to go on a pretty spontaneous 5 days trip tp Korea with my colleague. She was actually the one who egged me on while I was still hesistatimg and not daring to click the confirm button to book our fligjt tickrts. But oncr we did, I was happy we did it. Yes, my job situation is still unstable, there are things to worry about. But booking this trip made me temporarily forgrt my present trouble. We booked a direct flight with TWay. It’s a budget airline from Korea which doesn’tinclude meals and entertainment. Basically you just book a seat and nothing else. But it works for red eye flights because I don’t like having meals served to me at 2am. The fligjt was smooth and we landed without hitch in Incheon before schedule and got out of the airport ina breeze. Took the limousine bus to Seoul because it’s more comfortable than subway and cheaper than taxi. Just do your research before hand to make sure you know which bus to take to your destination. I booked us a hotel right beside Insa-dong at Jong nu area. Quite central and convenient but not as crowded as staying in Myeong-dong I feel. Upon reaching Seoul my colleague was famished so we grabbed a bite at the convenient store. Then we checked in to our hotel. Thankfully we got an earlier check in. Put our luggage and off we went to meet my Korean teacher for lunch. He brought us to a famous cold noodle restaurant and then showed us around Namdaemun area which I never really explored. We were a bit overwhelmed by all the sights. In the evening we went for a facial that I have booked in advance. Its the Whoo Spa facial that i booked through Klook. The facial cost $132 but it was money well soent because there was legs massage and shoulder massage as well, just nice because we were feeling tired from the long walk and flight. Felt so refreshed after it. Had dinner at Myeongdong Gyoza. Shopped around at Myeong dong a bit after dinner and went back to our hotel.

Went to Changdeok palace secret garden the 2nd day. It’s really beautiful inside. Brought my colleague to ikseon-dong after that to explore the cute shops and cafes. Also made a stop at Olive Young on our way back. Visited SSamziegil on the way too. Dinner was at some random hole-in-wall eatery we walked past on our way bak to hotel.
