I tried something different and did a variation of the turtle technique, except using paper on top and a totally freehanded field beneath it. This way, the dominoes don’t need to be on a grid or perfectly align at the edges. This actually makes things a bit easier since the paper can overlap ones next to them, unlike a domino, which is too thick. The text is made of H5 Domino Creations fieldstarters that are stacked 2 high and taped to the ground. It took 2 days of testing and 2 days of building to make. Really happy with how this effect came out :)
