Delhi battles air & water pollution; state govt ensures solution in 24 hours for water crisis

Delhi continues to fight battles of both pollution and the pandemic. There seems to be no respite for the Delhiites from air pollution and now it is the pollution in the River Yamuna. The toxicity levels see a rise in the River Yamuna, because of which the water supply in various parts of Delhi has taken a hit.

River Yamuna is the main source of water supply for the entire National Capital regions and a high level of ammonia has been found in the river water, causing the curtailment of water production into two main treatment plants. The Delhi government has responded to the same by saying that the concentration of pollutants has increased because of the huge quantity of industrial wastes that have been thrown into the River Yamuna. The government has also ensured that the water shortage problem will be solved in the next 24 hours.
