My model railroad dream layout: Transparent fall protection system (English subtitles)

In order to reliably prevent my trains from crashing underground, I build a safe, albeit not particularly attractive, fall protection system from PVC strips for just 65 cents per meter.
I'm about to carry out a crash test to see whether it really delivers what I expect of it.
