Ribeauvillé & Riquewihr 🇫🇷 The villages that inspired Belle's hometown 🏘 in Beauty & the Beast 🥀

Bonjour! Bonjour! Bonjour, bonjour, bonjour!!! 🎶 Welcome to the enchanting fairytale villages that inspired Disney's Beauty and the Beast. 🥀 Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr are neighboring towns in the Alsace region of France. We visited both after our day in Colmar. Prepare to be even more spellbound by well-preserved, colourful, half-timbered houses dating from the 15th-18th centuries. As we wandered the main streets, the ambiance just increasingly became more and more magical! ✨️ Especially the medieval towers, Renaissance fountains and Château de Saint-Ulrich overlooking Ribeauvillé. All of the charm and color was almost overwhelming at times! We can certainly see why these villages inspired Belle's hometown. 🏘 It's incredible that places like this truly exist. We feel so blessed to have been able to experience them... even in the rain! We hope you enjoy our stroll through these exquisite villages.
