《活力新故鄉》EP56：加拿大 X 黃喜悅《Home, sweet home》【ENG SUB】

家鄉位於加拿大卡加利的黃喜悅，25歲那年和朋友一起來台灣教英文，朋友最終只待了一週便因故返回家鄉，獨自留下的Wilson當時內心盤算著若要回去至少也得先把旅費攥回來，卻沒想過竟從此被台灣土地黏住，愛上了這裡的環境、生活、和老婆。

婚前透過交友軟體認識了Erica，因緣際會就此覓得良緣。目前夫妻倆人定居於高雄美濃，並陸續有了活潑好動，個性截然不同的四個兒子們。因著本身興趣使然，想當個專職農夫能自給自足，一直是Wilson的終極目標與夢想，也因此和Erica共同創立了喜悅農樸門永續農場，致力朝友善耕作、自然探索與食農教育的推廣而努力；為了同時能兼顧家計，Wilson也是是英語家教班的英文老師，雖然日子忙碌卻也能感到篤定而踏實，滿是甜蜜的負荷。

Wilson, from Calgary, Canada, came to Taiwan with his friend at his of 25. They came here for teaching English; however, his friend just stayed in Taiwan for 1 week and went back home for some reasons. Wilson still stayed since he wanted to make enough travel fee before going back home. He didn’t expected that he would have a long stay in Taiwan and fall in love with the surroundings, lives here and his wife.

He met Erica on a dating site and they fell in love with Karma. They live in Meinong, Kaohsiung and have 4 outgoing sons with different personalities. Wilson has interests in farming and it’s been his ambition and dream to turn his hobby farm into a full time venture. He wants to be a self- sufficient farmer.

Therefore, he opens a Joey Farm with Erica. They make an effort to promote wildlife-friendly farming, nature exploring and agri- food education. In order to have enough income to support the family, Wilson also works as an English teacher in a cram school. Although leading a busy life and carrying the burden of happiness, he’s got his feet on the ground.
