AI can create photorealistic content in seconds about people, places and events that never existed. And it is becoming more equipped and better trained each day. We spoke with Ely Greenfield, Adobe’s Chief Technology Officer for Digital Media, about the new AI powered tools available for the creators. Boris Eldagsen told us why, as a photomedia artist, he is excited about AI but also worried about how easily misinformation can spread online. Photography professor Fred Ritchin questions what it will mean for democracy when the Internet will be inundated by fake images of current and historical events that never happened. Finally, we spoke with Ilke Demir, Intel Labs’ senior staff research scientist, about the urgent need of digital tools to catch fake videos since they are becoming nearly undetectable to the human eye.
