The Gold Road patch came with two new powerful sets :

Both of those sets work very well in synergy as Null arca can crit & goes frontbar, where Sentinel provides crit & is ran on Body.
🕷️ Selene is behaving better than Zaan and it overall a great option for every content, I wouldn't recommend ever using Velothi on a ST boss fight on a Nightblade.

⚝ If you didn't farm Lucent Citadel, Relequen/Sentinel is around the same damage, here is a 131k parse with Relequen from Zwei : https://imgur.com/a/ssXGU5Y

✍️ Sustain is very hard, I would deeply recommend to be High Elf and use Siphoning Strike in content, great sustain tool and nice passive self heal : https://eso-skillbook.com/skill/sipho...
⁂ You would ideally want to use Magicka morph of Merciless, but sustaining it is close to impossible.

🗡️ This setup is best-in-slot for every encounter where you can use Sentinel like Falgravn, Ryelaz, Vrol, Yaseyla, etc...
△ If you need to move in a single target focused fight, you should use Null Arca/Relequen with AY (around 2k loss to Highland) : https://imgur.com/a/vKW3JeH
△ If you are playing AoE fights like Reef Guardian or Bahsei, you should use Ansuul/Relequen/Arca + Azureblight with Velothi.
△ In 4 Man content/Solo, you should consider use Swallow Soul as spammable and reach pen cap using Bahsei's Mania.

🏹 If you want to play range, you should use a Bow frontbar and master bow backbar.
⛧ You want the bow because the stats are just better than what a lightning staff would give you, even if you will not use any bow skills on frontbar.

⚠️ Be aware that nightblade is still a bad class in PvE as damage dealer. The ratio skill/damage is without a doubt higher than any other class besides necro, but you provide no group utility, struggle to sustain, aren't tankier than others, don't have good trash or AoE damage and will often get skill-issued by beam enjoyers 😀
(I'm talking only in a tryhard perspective ofc play what u want just don't expect the moon)

🦍 Race : High Elf (2nd is Dark Elf, 3rd is Khajiit - Khajiit outperforms in Solo/4 Man)
🗿 Mundus : Thief
❤️ Attributes: 0 Health / 0 Stamina / 64 Magicka

⌛️ Skill priority is : Carve Stacks ➤ Merciless proc ➤ Stampede ➤ Trap ➤ Shade ➤ Debilitate ➤ Cloak ➤ Twisting Path ➤ Ele Weap

💡Use Impale after 25%. Don't recast Merciless proc and Twisting path anymore after 25%. Don't recast Carve past 15%. Keep Shade, Cloak and Debilitate until 12%. Keep up Trap and Stampede until 6%.
Try to Incap with a maximum number of DoTs up.
Make sure to shoot two bow procs during Incap timing.
