Harvey library trustee Tamika Price suggested she reported library board president Anthony McCaskill, who is also the public records officer, to the state attorney general after her requests for documentation have not been answered.

The board was set to vote on the proposal for a new HVAC system until Price sounded the alarm that she, nor other trustees, had a copy of the proposal in their packets. The HVAC proposal was tabled while trustees made copies of the proposal to read, removed from tabling, then approved.

And while trustees Price and Chapelle Hooks objected, Del Galdo Law Group was approved to conduct a 60-day investigation into allegations raised during executive session. Del Galdo Law Group, which has ties to now-convicted former Illinois State Speaker Michael Madigan, is the corporation counsel for the Harvey Park District, largely ran by the McCaskill family.

Library board president Anthony McCaskill previously served as commissioner. His wife, Kisha McCaskill, is the park district executive director, and a paid library consultant. Son Aaron is the park district president. Daughter Amari McCaskill, the library board secretary, is a park district commissioner.
