Freycinet Peninsula Circuit: Solo Overnight Hiking in Australia (Freycinet National Park, Tasmania)

Описание к видео Freycinet Peninsula Circuit: Solo Overnight Hiking in Australia (Freycinet National Park, Tasmania)

One Australia's great overnight hikes, the Freycinet Peninsula Circuit traverses the rugged, granite-dominated landscape of the Freycinet Peninsula. Heading along the western coastline from Coles Bay, the trail passes through the picturesque Hazards Beach as it leads to the idyllic overnight campsite at Cooks Corner. Completing the loop, the Circuit rises up through stunning schlerophyll forest to cross the Hazard Range, including the summit of Mount Graham. Descending from the ridge, the walk finishes with the spectacular Wineglass Bay and the steep, long climb to the Wineglass Bay lookout before descending to Coles Bay. Providing a dramatically different experience to the mountains and wilder coastlines of the state's South West, the Freycinet Peninsula Circuit is nevertheless a worthy contender as one of Tasmania's best.
