Central Florida is filled with amazing suburbs and areas to live in - but they aren't all affordable. Some of Central Florida's most popular suburbs are unfortunately out of financial reach for many, as home prices have increased quickly in recent years. However, owning a home in this wonderful Central Florida area can still be a reality for many of you out there looking to make the move to this Orlando, Tampa, and Ocala area! Today, I bring to you Central Florida's Top 5 Most Affordable suburbs!
There are a ton of different towns and cities around Orlando, Tampa, Ocala, Winter Park, and in the Central Florida area as a whole. This is BY NO MEANS in exhaustive list - however, these five suburbs are phenomenal options for anyone looking to begin living their Central Florida dreams, without breaking the bank!
Poinciana is the number five option on the list - the major pro is that it is very affordable and the location is phenomenal, as it is in close proximity to Disney World, Universal Studios, Seaworld, and the rest of Florida's best attractions. However, traffic is truly terrible in Poinciana, there are no two ways around it.
Williamsburg, Florida is the number four suburb on our list, and Williamsburg is great because it is located near Seaworld among other great Central Florida attractions. However, housing inventory there is low - there isn't much new construction at all there either.
Number three on the list is the combined areas of Sorrento, Mount Dora, and Eustis, Florida. These still have some incorporating to be done, there's plenty still to be built here, but they are in good proximity to Downtown Orlando, and there is plenty of new construction and housing inventory in these areas.
Number two is Davenport, Florida! Davenport is developing quickly and although there is traffic there for sure, there is plenty of shopping and life there as there is plenty of commuters that work at Walt Disney World and other attractions there as well.
Our honorable mention is Ocala, Florida, where there is an immense amount of new construction going on and you can find homes in the mid 200s - brand new homes! However, Ocala is just a bit too far out to make the list, as it is generally over an hour from Downtown Orlando.
At number one, we have another trio - Winter Haven, Auburndale, and Lake Alfred, Florida. These areas blend into each other in a way and have tons of affordable housing located between Orlando and Lakeland, Florida. Auburndale, Winter Haven and Lake Alfred are fairly quiet and still have some retail and commercial to be built, but they are great options that aren't affected by all of the tourism in Central Florida and Orlando.
