Countdown is a game mode that seems to have better farming rate at selected target loot than the Summit. It is also my favorite source for Expertise donations and Targeted Loot farming. Even Challenging mode is good enough.

Countdown points earned can be used to purchase items and caches at the Countdown vendor (just outside White House vicinity)
Best Practices:

-Avoid using Offensive Skill (like Stinger Hive) when facing Hunters.
-Avoid VIP rescue mission
-Try not to call for Extraction Helicopter yet until the last 10-15 seconds remaining.
-Ensure adequate inventory so you can pick up loot fast (or unless you deconstruct all like me)
