Bell 206B III JetRanger Startup

Join JetRanger pilot CJ for a narrated startup of his Bell 206B III JetRanger. After a quick introduction, CJ hops into the cockpit and runs through the startup process while I try to keep up with my video camera. The sound is quite loud once the engine is running, but you can hear CJ pretty well and get a good idea of how this helicopter starts.

Please understand that this startup was done solely for the video. He ran through the process from memory without consulting his check list as he normally would. So please make sure any comments you might have keep this in consideration.

ABOUT THE HELICOPTER
This is a 1985 Bell 206B III JetRanger helicopter with a Rolls Royce 250-C20B engine. The sound has been dialed down about 4 decibels to prevent distortion.

ABOUT THE VIDEO
- The video was recorded on an iPhone 8 Plus and a GoPro Hero 7 camera. Voice audio was recorded into the phone using an external wireless microphone with a "dead cat" cover to prevent wind noise from distorting the sound.
