Homemade DeArmond Electromechanical Tremolo from Scrap Parts

Описание к видео Homemade DeArmond Electromechanical Tremolo from Scrap Parts

In this video I construct and test a homemade version of the late-1940's DeArmond Tremolo. This was one of the first guitar effects devices and was used by famous recording artists such as Billy Gibbons and Duane Eddy. They are relatively rare and expensive today, employing a tank filled with "special conductive fluid" (Windex) that is rocked at different speeds to rhythmically ground (and reduce) the volume of the guitar signal, creating the tremolo effect. As usual, I have drawn up no plans, preferring instead to simply create the device from scrap parts and metal, as you watch.
