Poland reports that a "Russian-made missile" fell on one of it's villages near the Ukraine border and killed two people.
Moscow denies any involvement.
President Joe Biden held an emergency meeting with G7 and NATO allies to discuss the incident.

World leaders gathered at the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia had to diffuse a potential escalation of the war in Ukraine, after a missile struck NATO member Poland and killed two people.
Poland says the missile was “Russian-made.”

Poland's Foreign Ministry said late Tuesday that the missile hit the village of Przewodów, close to the border with Ukraine.
This marks the first time a NATO country has been hit directly during the almost nine-month conflict.

The circumstances that surround the incident, however, remain unclear, as Poland did not say who fired the projectile, or where it was fired from.
Both Russian and Ukrainian forces have used Russian-made munitions during the conflict.

Moscow, meanwhile, has denied the reports, with Russia's Defense Ministry calling the explosions "a deliberate provocation" that seek to "escalate the situation."
It also said that the photos of the wreckage published by Polish media had "nothing to do with Russian weapons."

U.S. President Joe Biden and leaders from the G7 and NATO held an emergency meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali to discuss the incident.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, President Biden was asked if it was too early to say whether the projectile was fired from Russia.


"There is preliminary information that contests that. I don’t want to say that until we completely investigate it. But it’s unlikely in the minds of the trajectory that it was fired from Russia. But we’ll see."

NATO and G7 leaders said in a joint statement that they condemned "barbaric" attacks in Ukraine and offered "full support" for Poland.
The end of summit joint leaders' declaration, issued on Wednesday, also read that "most" G20 member states have "strongly condemned" Russia's war in Ukraine.

It also stated the G20 nations, including China, oppose the prospect of nuclear weapons being used in conflict.
