An innovative technology for the disposal of human waste in an eco-friendly manner is showcased in this video. It details the working procedure of a bio-toilet. The bio-digester converts human waste and all organic waste into 100% clean, reusable, odor-free water and biogas. It is 100% solid discharge-free and maintenance-free (continuous biological process). There is no manual handling of human waste, and repeat dosing of bacteria is not required. This bio-toilet has been developed in technical association with the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

This bio-toilet can operate in temperatures ranging from -55°C to 55°C. It is easy to transport and install in hilly terrains, railway coaches, metro footpaths, and any geographical area. It has already been adopted by railway coaches and is widely used across India in the Swachh Bharat campaign.

This bio-toilet is available in different models such as mobile bio-toilet and stationary bio-toilet, made from various materials.

Benefits of using Bio Toilets:
The mobile bio toilet digests organic human solid waste in an ecological way. These bio toilets prevent human waste and untreated water from contaminating groundwater, rivers, lakes, etc. They offer an alternative to dumping sewage into rivers, lakes, and fields in rural and semi-rural areas where there are no city sewage systems. Additionally, the effluent water can be used as fertilizer for soil, to water plants, or for fish ponds.

A waterless toilet is cleaner, more effective, and easier to use than a septic tank because it doesn’t need to be cleaned or emptied, and it doesn’t create leakage problems. Our waterless bio toilet doesn’t require the work and energy involved in relocating composting toilets every year.
