🔵 Types of Joints in the Human Body:

There are four main types of movable joints. Let’s learn them with examples:

1. 🔁 Ball and Socket Joint

Movement: Moves in all directions (round and round)

Examples:
👉 Shoulder joint
👉 Hip joint

How it works:
One bone has a ball-shaped end that fits into a socket of another bone.

🌀 Like a video game joystick!

2. 🦿 Hinge Joint

Movement: Moves in one direction only, like a door hinge (back and forth)

Examples:
👉 Elbow
👉 Knee
👉 Fingers and toes

🔁 Bend and straighten — that’s it!

3. 🔄 Pivot Joint

Movement: Turns side to side or up and down

Examples:
👉 Neck (between head and spine)

🧠 Helps us turn our head left and right.

4. 🧱 Fixed Joint (Also called Immovable Joint)

Movement: ❌ No movement

Example:
👉 Skull bones

🛡️ These joints protect important organs like the brain by staying solid.

🟣 Bonus: Gliding Joint

Movement: Bones slide past each other

Examples:
👉 Wrist
👉 Ankle

🎮 Like fingers gliding over a game controller!

🟠 What are Muscles?

Muscles are soft tissues that help our body move by pulling on bones.

We have over 600 muscles in our body!

Muscles are connected to bones with tendons.

🔴 How Do Muscles Work With Joints?

Muscles cannot push, they only pull.

They work in pairs:

When one contracts (gets shorter), the other relaxes (gets longer)

This moves the bone at the joint

🎯 Example:
To bend your arm, your biceps contract and triceps relax.

✅ Quick Recap:
Term Meaning Example
Joint Place where bones meet Elbow, Shoulder
Ball & Socket Round movement Shoulder, Hip
Hinge One-direction movement Knee, Elbow
Pivot Rotating movement Neck
Fixed No movement Skull
Muscles Tissues that pull bones Biceps, Triceps
Tendon Connects muscle to bone Achilles tendon
