Does Mazda's quirky EV finally make sense now it's half price?

It's fair to say that the Mazda MX-30 has not really caught on as far as the UK electric car market is concerned. With a starting price from new of around £30,000, a real world range of 100 miles on a good day, and an unconventional rear door layout that compromises practicality, it was fairly easy to find fault with this particular EV.

However, with prices of used models now at around £14,000 or less, is it time to start looking at the MX-30 in a new light? After all, it's still usefully roomier than rivals such as the BMW i3 and Honda e, it has a great interior, and it is really good to drive. In this CarGurus UK review, Vicky Parrott reacquaints herself with the electric Mazda to see how it stacks up as a used buy.
