Welcome to Advanced Velo - the course for becoming a full stack Wix developer!

The course explores how to turn your Wix Website into a full-fledged web app by leveraging the Wix backend, APIs, and Custom Code. It is structured as 6 modules:
1. Getting Started - overview of the Wix developer platform
2. Data Driven - planning, building, and connecting data collections
3. Integrate & Innovate - third-party APIs
4. Expose & Extend - using http-functions to expose your site’s backend as an API
5. Custom Code - utilizing HTML Embed, Custom Elements, and Custom Code
6. Velo APIs - researching, planning, and implementing customizations of Wix Business Apps

This course assumes some basic knowledge in Javascript and developing on Wix. If you are a beginner, you may want to start with our *Velo for Beginners Course*:

The course lessons are filmed in Wix Studio but 99% of the capabilities demonstrated are available in Wix Classic as well.

This course was filmed in October 2024 and released throughout 2025. Wix as a platform innovates quickly and some things may be different between what is shown in the course and what you see in your editor. One notable change announced in late February of 2025 is the transition from Velo APIs to the JavaScript SDK.
