Описание к видео What were the Native Americans catching in these waters 200 years ago??

On this episode of the Cast Net Sniper, We are headed to the famous statue of Chief Tomokie! This coastline was inhabited by the famous Seminoles Indians & colonized by the Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon. Many battles took place on this shore between the Indians and the colonists. There is ruins of burnt buildings and relics of the past all over this territory.
I decided to produce an episode of how the explorers and Indians used to fish these waters. Everyone thinks that the fishing pole is the only way to catch fish, but I believe the Indians, settlers, pioneers & explorers knew best when they weaved nets and preferred those over the hooks and line. The native Americans were able to produce enough food to feed their villages using these old fashioned and simple fishing methods.
On this video, we go over a bit of history of the area & try to show some good cast net fishing! The waters were bountiful with wildlife, including one alligator that almost ended the filming. As I approached, I was ready to throw my net, but something told me to hold off. As I glanced at the water DIRECTLY in front of my boat, It was clear that something HUGE was just there! Chief Tomakie may have warned me about this throw, and protected both me & the alligator from a fight.
Enjoy the episode!
Sincerely, The Cast Net Sniper
