Fly Fishing Magical Water - 3 day camping trip in the Ozarks from a homemade Drift Boat(part 2)

This is part 2 of our 3 day Fly Fishing the Ozarks trip from a home made drift boat. I can't believe water like this exists so close to me! It was an absolute blast floating this Ozark stream, even in adown pour! The forecasted rains started around lunch on our second day. We expected over an inch of rain and judging by the amount of water we pumped from the boat, it seemed like 3 to 4 inches of rain fell overnight. After getting off the water, we checked the gage and as suspected the river went from 600cfs to 4700cfs in just a few hours...talk about close! The fishing was great, my buddy boated a really nice and colored up bow, which made it hard to not stop and wade more. But we had a feeling big water was behind us and decided to push out a several hours sooner than planned. Super glad we did too!
