We Need to Pray Urgently NOW

The inspiration for this week's message came from a note from Asher's oldest son, Yeheskel (Hezi) and a following response from Asher.
Note from Hezi:
I've been burdened with thoughts the last few days concerning the urgent need for prayer in the current war situation.
Recently we've heard of several tragic situations in which the IDF "almost succeeded." One was the attempt to prevent the murder of 6 hostages, and another was that they almost caught Sinwar but missed him by a matter of minutes.
I feel a sense of conviction that we as the Body have a responsibility in prayer; we may have missed it here. We believe prayer influences operational success. Thank God, there have been many: such as the release of several hostages a few weeks ago, and successfully taking out key wicked leaders from Hamas and Hezbollah.
However, if we aren't praying as God wants us to, that can lead to disastrous results. This war is extremely spiritual. I'm not laying a guilt trip on anyone, and I'm not saying we should be praying and fasting out of some vain human effort. But I want to encourage people to stand strong in prayer and fasting as God may be leading, and to get in synch with the prayers He wants us to pray.
That's what makes all the difference!
Specifically, I feel we need to focus on:
1. Taking out Sinwar (this is key!)
2. Release of hostages
3. Protection of soldiers
4. Solution for the Northern border
5. Spiritual redemption for Israelis
God bless!
Response from Asher:
This is so true. The emphasis is on the word URGENT. Several situations almost succeeded but then ended in disaster.
It reminds me of the Kehila in Jerusalem praying for Yakov's (James) release from jail (Acts 12). They prayed, and Herod killed him. Then Herod arrested Shimon Kefa (Peter) and planned to kill him also. This time the Kehila prayed much harder, and Peter was released supernaturally.
It was a matter of life and death. Normal prayer did not work, but harder, more urgent, life-and-death prayer did.
There was ANOTHER difference. The last verse of Acts 11 said that Paul arrived in Jerusalem and the last verse of Acts 12 said he left Jerusalem. So, it seems that Paul and his friends were THERE at the prayer for Peter, not for James.
So, the issue is the urgency of prayer and having the right people praying.
As we have said, there are three levels of warfare (AIM):
1. Angelic – Ephesians 6:12
2. Informational – II Corinthians 10:5
3. Military – Romans 13:4
Let's pray; pray hard; pray to win the war!
