Ponmudi is one of the top hill stations in Kerala, after Munnar and Wayanad. Ponmudi is one of the most searched hill stations in Kerala after Munnar and Wayanad. However, Ponmudi is different from the rest of the hill stations by its proximity to the capital of Kerala - Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum. Trivandrum to Ponmudy is approximately 55 kilometers and on the way you can visit Meenmutty waterfalls.
To explore Meenmutty we need to walk almost a kilometer from the parking space. The walk through the jungle to enjoy the Meenmutty waterfalls is a joy. During our walk we could spot 3 elephants too.
After Meenmutty waterfalls we continued to Ponmudi and you will surely enjoy the knolls and meadows. Ponmudi peak and watch tower are the major attractions here. If you are planning to stay in Ponmudi, there are resorts and KTDC facilities for that.
