We apply the Molar Balance Equation to a Packed Bed Reactor.

There is no accumulation in this process due to steady state operation.

There is an inlet, outlet and a generation concept.

It is important to NOTE that this equation is based on the MASS of the Catalyst and not to the volume.

It is similar to the PFR (fluid flows, reacts and goes out).

The only detail here is the packed-bed in the reactor (which contains the catalyst)
