In this instructional video, you'll learn the fastest way to calibrate the NORTEC® 600 eddy current flaw detector for conductivity and coating thickness inspections.

Below are the calibration steps reviewed in the video:

1. Connect the probe, noting that the Probe Mode is automatically set to "Conductivity."
2. Press "Continue."
3. Enter the IACS left-hand side value standard.
4. Place the probe on the standard and store the reading.
5. Enter the IACS right-hand side value standard.
6. Place the probe on the standard and store the reading.
7. Place a 4 mils shim on the standard to simulate a coating.
8. Place the probe on the standard starting on the left-hand side and store the reading.
9. Repeat step 8 for the right-hand side to successfully complete calibration.
