Meet LASERSKATER, the leading Finnish superhero. Instead of violence he uses his helpfulness and short shorts.

Every town needs a superhero. In Helsinki we have the Laserskater. Laserskater has patrolled the streets of Helsinki for over 20 years and he's well known among the citizens. His mission is to help his fellow townspeople with his amazing skills at helping around.

He's part of the international movement called real-life superheroes. Such superheroes include for example Superbarrio in Mexico city, Phoenix Jones in Seattle and Nyx in New York.

Laserskater has his private life working in IT industry and second life as a superhero. But he has also a THIRD LIFE. That happens online, in a virtual reality called SECOND LIFE.

I followed him to the depths of second life. I witnessed the kind of stories he posts on his social media: stories which include dancing with half naked women and seem to always end by him being trapped in different ways.

He also posts statistics of all the good deeds he's done during the year. The lists include helping beggars, guiding tourists, tipping street musicians and "telephone-help".

One thing the lists don't mention. Making people smile, awe-struck and inspired. Like his own idols like batman or superman he is a role model. Maybe there are young people who someday want to be exactly like him.
