My Orchid is Not Blooming

Insufficient light is the most common cause of failure to re-bloom your orchid. Leaf color indicates if the amount of light is adequate. The lush, rich, dark green of most houseplants is not desirable in orchid leaves. A grassy green color (light or medium green with yellowish tones) means the plant is receiving sufficient light to bloom.
Reasons for orchids not flowering:
1. Orchids require a cooler temperature at night to trigger flowering.
2. Not enough light to stimulate blooms.
3. Flower spikes should be cut back to stimulate the new spikes and more flowers.
4. A lack of fertilizer.
5. Drought Stress and Low humidity prevent flowering.
6. Overwatering and the wrong potting medium stresses orchids and prevents flowering.
7. Orchids need a rest period in Winter to be able to flower.
8. Orchid in not mature enough


অপর্যাপ্ত আলো আপনার অর্কিডকে পুনরায় প্রস্ফুটিত করতে ব্যর্থতার সবচেয়ে সাধারণ কারণ। পাতার রঙ নির্দেশ করে আলোর পরিমাণ পর্যাপ্ত কিনা। অর্কিড পাতায় বেশিরভাগ হাউসপ্ল্যান্টের সুগভীর, সমৃদ্ধ, গাঢ় সবুজ পছন্দনীয় নয়। একটি ঘাসযুক্ত সবুজ রঙ (হলুদ টোন সহ হালকা বা মাঝারি সবুজ) মানে উদ্ভিদটি প্রস্ফুটিত হওয়ার জন্য পর্যাপ্ত আলো পাচ্ছে।
অর্কিড ফুল না হওয়ার কারণ:
1. ফুল ফোটার জন্য অর্কিডের রাতে শীতল তাপমাত্রা প্রয়োজন।
2. প্রস্ফুটিত উদ্দীপিত করার জন্য যথেষ্ট আলো নেই।
3. নতুন স্পাইক এবং আরও ফুলকে উদ্দীপিত করার জন্য ফুলের স্পাইকগুলিকে আবার কাটা উচিত।
4. সারের অভাব।
5. খরার চাপ এবং কম আর্দ্রতা ফুল ফোটাতে বাধা দেয়।
6. অতিরিক্ত জল দেওয়া এবং ভুল পাত্রের মাধ্যম অর্কিডকে চাপ দেয় এবং ফুল ফোটাতে বাধা দেয়।
7. অর্কিডের ফুল ফোটার জন্য শীতকালে বিশ্রামের সময় প্রয়োজন।
8. অর্কিড যথেষ্ট পরিপক্ক নয়
