So it's really getting started - and in the end it's something Leeb has always done: Music out of passion, with passion. He got his first trumpet at the age of 12; it was an old, used and battered trumpet. Nevertheless, it was his great treasure and he loved its special sound. He was so enraptured by it that he voluntarily played and practiced every day. At the Vienna University of Music, he is very popular among his students. "I am no Maurice André, no Miles Davis, but at least I am Leonhard Leeb. I accept the possibilities of my playing on the trumpet, and with those I tell my stories. Even Chet Becker is no trumpet virtuoso" - Leeb builds himself up on success stories like this. And last but not least, he says: " since I was twelve years old, I had always wished above all: to be part of a band." He has long since achieved that with his ensemble Trumpets in Concert. On this track he interprets his own composition, a mixture of film music, smooth jazz and classical music. Let yourself be carried away into a soundscape of your own.

About the artists
TRUMPETS IN CONCERT celebrates its 25th stage anniversary this year. Founded by Leonhard Leeb, the classical band has earned its high international reputation with outstanding concerts at international festivals such as the Bregenz Festival, Carinthian Summer, "Proms at St. Jude's" in London, a tour of Canada and a cultural tour to China (including the Deyang Music Festival at the Deyang Concert Hall). A highlight in their career was certainly the invitation of the Austrian President Heinz Fischer, who asked them twice (2004, 2010) to musically frame his inauguration. The trumpeters have long since attracted the attention of the international classical labels NAXOS, worldwide release of the CD "Imperial Fanfares", and ARS Production, and the BBC Online magazine in London also dedicated an article to them. In a magnificent way, the trumpeters let the sacral space of the Minoritenkirche in Vienna shine with noble tones during their Christmas concert "Trumpets in Concert - A very special christmas". A wonderful mixture, light, fresh, elegant with a touch of dignity.
