The Specokraska Project, edition #1: HYVST SPT 440 assembly instruction

Hi to everyone. Today, the Specokraska Project 's presenting HYVST SPT 440 airless spray pump. I'm going to introduce you to the way it operates and what you can use it for. The main parts of the pump are the engine, piston pump and suction hose. The accessory kit contains a 15m hose, a spray gun equipped with a nozzle holder and a base 517" nozzle itself.
You can buy additional accessories at any moment, depending on what kind of works you're going to perform.
A 40 to 45 cm nozzle extension to let you access the hard to reach places is also in set.
A bottle of TSL (tube suction liquid).
The monometer.
The main operating part of the pump.
The drain valve (has two positions: "spray" and "clean")
The pressure regulator (higher/lower accordingly)
Here is the switch on/off button. Right under it you can see the protection button to save the electronics in case of a power surge.
Here you can see the hose outlet. The hose is plugged in via the monometer.
One of the main questions is why there is liquid inside the monometer. It is there to slow down the indicator. So you mustn't drain the liquid.
Now I going to plugging in the hose and we'll continue.
Note that you should fix all the connections first manually and then with a spanner or wrench.
It's important to fix the hose tight in this place so that it doesn't loosen and thus let any air out. If it happens your work will be ineffective and, which is more, the pump will wear out more quickly.
Now a few words about the pump itself. I've put the pump on its side to make it better visible. The pump consists of two valves: the lower and the upper one. The lower valve is responsible for the paint intake the upper one for its output.
Before installing the suction hose you'll need to check if there is a special ball inside the lower valve. You can push it with your finger or a pensile. Liquid on my finger indicates that the ball easily moves which is important. If the ball is stuck the pump won't spray any paint.
We take the suction hose and insert it into the valve like this. You need to put the metal O-ring onto the suction hose and fix it to prevent air being sucked in and thus provide good performance. It is easily done this way.
Round the suction hose there is a special screw. When needed you can tighten it with a usual screwdriver.
The drain hose is plugged in here. It can all be done easily by hand. You tighten it with the help of this special screw.
We've almost finished assembling the pump. Just one more thing to note -- there's a so called cup. You put the suction hose end in it, when you finish the works, instead of laying it down on any less suitable surface, to prevent sand or other particles from getting into the pump and polluting your painting material.
Another important part of the pump is a special pocket for the TSL. Just one or two drops in here before you start. There's no problem if you happen to pour more. The machine will drain the extra liquid.
The spray gun is plugged in at the other end of the hose. Both ends of the hose are identical so you will never confuse which one is plugged in here and which one there. 1/4" NPSM screw. 6 mm in diameter.
Spray guns HYVST come in set with the pumps. They all have a 1/4" NPSM screw. Thus you can easily use WARNER, GRACO or TITAN (or any Chinese brand) spray guns with this equipment.
Now it's fixed and tightened with a spanner. There is a moving connection. It must be loose so that you could feel free to move your hand in any direction while spraying.
So, as I've already mentioned, the base spray gun set includes a nozzle saddle, nozzle holder and nozzle itself. It's very important to note that at any circumstances you mustn't point the spray gun at yourself or anybody, because it might be potentially lethal to play games holding a 200 bars spray gun in your hand.
Inside the spray gun holder there is a filter. Filters can be different depending on the nozzle you use. They are sold separately.
Another part of the delivery set is a nozzle extension which is used to extend the spray gun. I'm taking off the nozzle holder and screw the extension onto the spray gun. You must never use a spanner to tighten a nozzle holder. Do it only by hand to prevent accidental damage.
So the pump is assembled and now you need only to wash out the oil from the piston pump and get it ready for work. But this is the topic for further videos.
