This class follows a similar structure to the previous one but is relatively shorter, with an emphasis on exploring monochrome, limited, and multicolor palettes—instead of focusing solely on a limited palette. We begin by familiarizing ourselves with the materials and understanding the importance of brushstrokes. Each techniques section corresponds to two final project paintings and covers key concepts that will be applied in the following artworks. The course progresses gradually—from monochrome studies to limited palettes, and finally to a full multicolor painting. This structured progression is especially beneficial for beginners, as it helps them move beyond the confusion of working with many colors and instead focus on mastering values, contrast, depth, and the expressive potential of a single hue.

We’ll be working on seven small painting projects, each on 5-inch paper. They’re quick to complete and easy to fit into your everyday routine.
