Caesar 3 - CCK Toletum (Timelapse)

Описание к видео Caesar 3 - CCK Toletum (Timelapse)

Finally... got this map... I feel sooo exhausted

I love the game Caesar3 and there are plenty videos about the campaign and custom maps... but not so much for the City Construction Kit Maps which is a shame really...

City Construction Kit is basically an open play where you can build your dream city as big or small as you like while facing various obstacles... and one extra is... Caesar can't be mad at you for beeing in debt or ignoring request or anything else as Favor always will be fixed at 50...

I will always go for a reasonable big city and all ratings (except Favor) to reach 100!
And no house should be lower than Small Casa, (so no tents or shacks to make it a bit more challenging)

DESCRIPTION:
This map is far and away the HARDEST map of all original 12 CCK Scenarios... and you will definitly get a glimpse why...

Just by the looks of the minimaps one becomes clear that those rivers and hills already takes away any kind of sufficent space you need for building any reasonable housing blocks... but theres more...

Invasion... well just do it like me and repell them all (for 40 years) and you can build toward the edges (and you kinda have to)

But then theres the earthquake... and that one is HUGE!!!
Only one career mission (Tarraco) kinda makes one use of that... but Toletum shows you how dire the consequences of the largest available earthquakes can be!
Yes... the only useable land ist ripped into 4 quarters... while one of them is totaly unusable as it is totally blocked off by Road to Rome... you can't build anything here anymore (except statues or such)

Now... making money is no problem at all, you can export the threemost expensive goods in this game and easily get money... but thats it...

Narrow nooks and fitting in uniquely-shaped housing blocks and even building patrician blocks (once again on hills) will demand a lot of your creativity of your city-building skills!

This wasn't too much of a problem but I got a victim of once again over-aging or under-aging population... which means most of my 9300 population was non-working over the course of about 20-30 years...

I could barely stabilize my city until I had to get my culture to 100 which means I have to build a lot of schools, academies. theatres and so on... all of them eating up plenty of workers which I was already short of dooming the stability of my city...

Thats why I called it a phyrric victory towards the end... Altough I met my standards of having all ratings on 100 and no tents I still got a very messed up city!

Trust me... It looked fine while I showcased it but in no time everything will go downhill meaning I have still a lot to learn...

But on the positive side the next maps are way larger and more forgiving and I can finally breathe again and hope to build better cities...

FINAL RATINGS:
Population: 9309
Culture: 100
Prosperity: 100
Peace: 100

Housings:
18 Small Casa
44 Medium Insulaes
33 Large Insulae
9 Grand Insulae
11 Grand Villaes

Peace out...
