Tokyo Metro 05 Series (Toshiba PMSM, Refurbished) - Ōtemachi to Nihombashi (Tozai Line) 営団05系 東芝PMSM

Featured in this video is the Tokyo Metro 05 Series on the Tozai Line (literately, East-West Line). Set 16 (Batch 5) was manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, entered service in 1992 was and originally fitted with GTO chopper propulsion equipment and feature extra wide doors (as compared to other lines). It was recently refurbished with a refreshed interior (including LCD panels above every set of side doors, which SMRT Trains intends to install soon) and received replacement IGBT-VVVF propulsion equipment which uses Toshiba's PMSM technology (which also can be found on Tokyo Metro 1000 series, 16000 series Batch One and refurbished 02 series).
