Overview:
The Musandam Governorate is a governorate of Oman. it is located on the Musandam Peninsula, which juts into the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow entry into the Persian Gulf, from the Arabian Peninsula. The Governorate is also an exclave, separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates. Its location gives Oman partial control, shared with Iran, of the strategic strait. In the northern section of Musandam, around Kumzar, the language is Kumzari, which is a southwestern Iranian language closely related to Larestani and Luri. The Musandam Peninsula has an area of 1,800 km2 (690 sq mi) and a population of 31,425 people..
This trip to Musandam was amazing, the ride mainly start getting awesome after crossing UAE borders which is 1.5 hours from Dubai Downtown.

Musandam is located in the North of UAE around 240 minutes away from Downtown Dubai (200KM), you can take road E102 which can be joined from E611 straight to the border (Khasab border).

DIFFICULTY LEVEL
There is a long offroad cut, around 20min which is a little steep, I would give it 4 over 5, a Medium difficulty level.

ACTIVITIES
There is plenty of nice camping spots, very big flat area which you barely find in UAE, and the wadis and mountains are beautiful for hiking as well, the mountain provides multiple sceneries and a good bundle of activities for the entire family members, a hiking trip to explore around is a beautiful idea.

Keep in mind to have good gear on you:
• Suitable outfit with extras to be on the safe side.
• Head cap or any type of protection if you are planning a hiking trip.
• Extra source of food and water
• Charged phone and power bank is ideal just in case the ride or hike took longer than expected.
