Dramatic 🙃

The ‪@KorgOfficial‬ PS-3100 is, in a nutshell, dramatic. Holy hell, I am falling deeper in love with this machine by the day.

In recent years, I’ve developed a true passion for vintage synthesizers. Not to be all “get off my lawn” about digital or plugins, because truthfully I love those, too - I use them every day. But wow is there just something special about a synth with some life history inside it.

It has ghosts. The machines are holding onto these past performances. They keys have the decades of hands imprinted into them. There is a physical connection between you and the knob. They warm up and produce a smell. There is just so much to a vintage synthesizer that I love.

And while they come at a price, the experience I get from turning these on is in fact priceless. If you walk by the instrument and something inside you wants to go touch it, turn it on, play with it…then you know you’ve found magic.

So there you have it, my poem about synths. 🥰
