🔸 Who is Nicola Bearne?

Nicole began her illustrious F1 career in the late 1990s as a founding member of the British American Racing team. She played a crucial role in establishing the team alongside notable figures like Jacques Villeneuve, Craig Pollock, and Adrian Reynard. Her hard work and determination saw her rise to the position of Executive Assistant to the Team Principal during the team's transition to BAR-Honda and later Honda. Working closely with Ross Brawn from 2007 to 2013, Nicole was integral to the Brawn Grand Prix story, which was famously depicted in the award-winning documentary 'Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story’.

In the wake of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s acquisition of the team, Nicole became a key part of the leadership that secured eight Constructors’ championships. As the Head of Internal Communications for the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 team, she supported a workforce of nearly 1,500 people across two advanced technology campuses in the UK. Her contributions helped foster a strong team culture and high levels of employee engagement, contributing to the success of drivers like Sir Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Currently, as the Founder and Director of The Comms Exchange Ltd, Nicole leverages her experience to design effective Employee Experience and Communication strategies.

Nicole's achievements extend beyond the track. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Institute of Internal Communications, and she is an Accredited PR Practitioner. Nicole holds a master’s degree in Organisational Behaviour and the CIPR’s Internal Communications Diploma. Her expertise has earned her recognition, including a nomination for the ‘Indigogold Work Psychology Innovation Award’ in 2020. Additionally, she speaks fluent Russian, having spent several years working in the former Soviet Union, further showcasing her diverse skill set and global experience.
