I arrived at the park entrance today, and started my trek up the Horcones Valley to Camp Confluencia. I decided to go with Grajales Expeditions as my support team. I’m climbing solo, but you can get certain expedition companies to offer support, either with transportation, room and board, porters, guides…. It’s up to you. Also when you are climbing without a guide, you are required to check in and have the medical team evaluate how you’re doing as you ascend the mountain!
