The WDH Mental Health Navigator Scheme

Описание к видео The WDH Mental Health Navigator Scheme

Wakefield and District Housing and the local NHS Trust have worked together to deliver the Mental Health Navigator Scheme for almost 10 years.
This video introduces the benefits for tenants and the housing organisation.

Many social housing tenants experience mental health issues, which can negatively impact on their tenancy and even result in eviction. A joined-up approach between mental health and housing services is needed to help maintain tenancies and secure housing stability. Wakefield District Housing (WDH) is a social housing provider who have operated a mental health navigation scheme for their tenants since 2015. Mental health professionals employed by the NHS but embedded within WDH provide specialist support to tenants, including advocacy, signposting and direct support.
