BEREC Workshop on 5G: Insights on Innovation, New Business Models and Value Chains (Part 1)

To collect insight on 5G New Business Models and Value Chains and the anticipated pace of innovation, on 3 June 2021, BEREC organised a public online workshop on 5G.

In the first session, a panel discussion on New Business Models, supply-chain diversification and its impact on competition took place. It brought together experts in the possible supply-chain diversification that 5G may enable, such as Neutral Host Operators, Private 5G Networks. Together they discussed the future of the 5G ecosystem and business model and the possible impact of these changes on regulatory matters, especially competition.

Distinguished speakers were Ben Wreschner (Vodafone), Jaume Pujol (Cellnex Telecom), Rene Summer (Ericsson), Tomáš Budník (Thein) and Dr. Marja Matinmikko-Blue (Centre for Wireless Communications CWC Oulu).
