Dust: An Elysian Tail Pt. 2 - Aurora Village [Gameplay]

Aurora Village, also known as the Village of A Thousand Questgivers.

Despite all these quests that I now have, it still is feeling more like a 2D sidescrolling beat 'em up than anything else, rather than the action RPG it's described as.

The characters are starting to grow on me. Dust's reactions to the villagers seem more natural, although sometimes it's a little... off. Fidget's starting to play off Dust a little more, easing up on establishing her 'quirky and fun' over all else.

The Blade or Ahrah has only 2 or 3 lines at all, so when his exposition pops up, it's welcomed instead of tedious. He also seems to have a lot of answers, which makes sense being an ancient sentient sword, but never enough to actually help. It's basically always "Go this way" or "Hey, now you can do this" or "You should pay attention to this. Why? I do not know".

Combat remains mostly the same. Parrying seems a little useless. If I slow down to time it against enemy attacks, I lose my combo meter. So I think I'll just ignore it and be happy when it happens naturally. Seemed to help on the giants, however. Maybe it'll be more of a boss technique than a mook one.

Also, I could not parry those spiky slimes at all. They're clever.
