The elite S.T.A.R.S (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) team of the Raccoon City Police Department are investigating some strange cannibalized corpses on the outskirts of the city. On its way, the Bravo S.T.A.R.S team go missing and the Alpha squad, Jill and Chris' team, are sent to locate them. While searching, they find the crashed helicopter, but are set upon by mutated dogs, causing them to flee into a supposedly abandoned mansion.

Resident Evil is a 1996 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation. It was conceived by the producer Tokuro Fujiwara as a remake of his 1989 horror game Sweet Home and was directed by Shinji Mikami.
