Clifford The Big Red Dog Has A Birthday Party At The Effingham Public Library Story Time!

First off, we have a great public library! The Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library offers many programs and services to our community, and most of all, they have an incredible children's program. Every Tuesday, we take our grandson there for Story Time, and the staff always makes it fun for the kids. But this Tuesday was extra special - it was Clifford's Birthday Story Time! Our grandson was very excited to go, and we all wore something red, of course.

Ms. Vicki (dressed like Emily Elizabeth) led the Story Time, as she normally does, and all the kids got red party hats as soon as they walked into the EPL Children's Programming Room. And if the children chose to, they could get a black nose like Clifford's. (Cohen didn't, but Grandma did!)

The stories this day were all Clifford The Big Red Dog books, written by Norman Bridwell. The last one read was about Clifford's birthday party. And then the big moment came - Clifford arrived! The kids got to do a fun craft, eat cupcakes, and Clifford had a great birthday party with lots of children there to celebrate with him!

Our grandson had a great time, and so did we watching him listen to the stories and interacting with Clifford. It was another great event put on by the Effingham Public Library!
