M1 Garand Shooting Commercial Ammo-Safely!

My M1 Garand shooting commercial .30-06 hunting ammunition using the Schuster Adjustable Gas Plug. The adjustable gas port allows for modern ammo to be fired safely in the M1 Garand accounting for the extra pressure placed on the internals of your rifle. Due to the age and unknown history of these rifles especially on the secondary market, extreme caution should be taken in this procedure.

Before performing this procedure you should have your rifle inspected by a knowledgeable, certified gunsmith to ensure the rifle functions and operates safely.

I am not a qualified gunsmith or expert I am just sharing the way I do this in accordance with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) recommendations and guidelines and Schuster’s recommendations in the included instructions.
