Editors - Rock am Ring June 4th 2010 (MTV Version)

Описание к видео Editors - Rock am Ring June 4th 2010 (MTV Version)

This is the second broadcast of Editors at Rock am Ring in June of 2010, I think I ripped it from MTV's website at the time it happened. The main difference between this one and the other highlights show I've shared is that this one is the complete set. It was assembled from a collection of single clips and that's why the transitions between the songs are a little bit stop-start. However, you get In This Light and on This Evening as the first track here as opposed to the event beginning with An End Has a Start. If that's OK with you good folks, read on.

When the first lineup of Editors were in the mood to put on a show, they really knew how to do it. By 2010 they'd done so much touring that playing the material was essentially muscle memory, with all the rest being passion and showmanship. Rock am Ring from June of that year was a show where all of those components were present and being used to their fullest. Mr Smith in particular was clearly up for a good evening this time around.

With this being a festival set it's a short collection of 12 crowd-pleasers, and only NSBTW provides a chance for the audience to chill their heels. It you like your Editors gigs with a little hint of crazy and plenty of energy, this one will send you away smiling. Also, there's a uniquely strange moment during ERM=BD which I'm not sure has happened before or since; Tom sings the line Diamonds are forever from the Shirley Bassey song (and James Bond Theme) of the same name. Why? I have no idea, but there it is. Enjoy the music ;)
