How to Repair a 68-77 Corvette DOOR PANEL

C3 Corvette door panels tend to quickly deteriorate and crack in the armrest area, for obvious reasons. In this video, I show you how to fix a worn door panel armrest with an inexpensive arm rest patch, and make it look better than when it was new!

But you don't have to wait until your door panel starts cracking to implement this fix, as it can also act as a way to prevent this from happening in the first place. Well, that would be panel damage due to worn-out material.

A few Corvette Parts resellers have these available for around $100 for the set (2 pieces), but a friend sent me a link to an eBay seller offering a pair (left and right) for $65 with free shipping.

So I ordered a set from https://www.ebay.com/itm/295451589322 and even though the quality is average, they appear to be well-made and fit almost perfectly.

The adhesive foam works, but again, the lack of quality is pretty obvious.

Having said that, you don't want these covers or patches attached permanently to the panel in case you need to remove them at some point.

The end product looks good, and dare I say the panels look better with them on than without them. In my opinion, the armrest area looks "complete" compared to the original sans the covers.

Great investment whether you're trying to cover cracks and holes or desire a better-looking door panel while preventing wear and tear.
