Theresa and Jim met in 1987 when Theresa was serving as a JV in Boston at a local shelter.

The two of them formed a connection, fell in love, and eventually married.
The two credit JVC for bringing them together.

This past year, Jim generously gifted JVC with a song that he composed in honor of his FJV wife, Theresa. The beautiful communion song, "Bread of Light and Life" was a product of Jim's prayer life.

He wanted to share it with JVC as a way to hopefully inspire current volunteers, former volunteers and friends of JVC to find the song within their own hearts and have the courage to express it and share it with others.
When it came time to record the song, another beautiful JVC connection was made.
Theresa and Jim connected with Boston JV Lauren Carey (Boston 2019-20) who shared their love of music and has an amazing voice and agreed to record the song.

It was so beautiful to connect two Boston JVs who served 30 years apart from each other in this way!

It's stories like this that keep the transformational power and imprint of the program going for generations to come.
