I worked with Tim (Stevens, Director) on the 'Greater Expectations' video that came out earlier in the year, Tim and I have been good friends for years and when we were editing the GE video we'd often cap the day off having a beer and watching old Granada TV footage of bands, I needed to put a video together for 'A Taste Of Something New' and went round to Tim's studio in Dalston and we fell back into our youtube routine and decided to have a go at it ourselves. We watched tonnes of Happy Mondays, Buzzcocks, Orange Juice, Denim etc.. performances for inspiration and we were away! We shot it at a studio in Tottenham and Tim recorded the footage onto a VHS tape and imported it back in, edited it and BANG......a music video, we had a cardboard cutout of Tony Wilson out of shot throughout the duration of filming too to give it some authenticity.
