Our journey began from Hopper village embarked on an incredible trek over two magnificent glaciers: Hoper (Bualtar glacier) and Barpu glacier. The first day of our adventure was filled with energy-draining ascends and descends, as well as the constant challenge of uncovering the route. This demanding trek to the first campsite at Bericho Kor, situated at an altitude of 3,300 meters, would typically take an experienced trekker five hours.

After crossing the Hoper glacier, we reached the Shishkin Camping site, an elevated plain that offered a brief respite. From this vantage point, we were treated to stunning views of several majestic peaks, including Lady Finger, Ultar Peak, Kapel Peak, Malubiting Peak, and Spantik.

The next leg of our trek involved crossing the Barpo Glacier, a technical and challenging endeavor that tested our skills and determination. Once across, the landscape transformed into beautiful meadows, and the path straightened, leading us to our first campsite at Bericho Kor.
