Hey guys! Welcome back to our South Island campervan road trip! Today is Day 6, and we’re starting our journey by leaving the serene Te Anau Holiday Park. Before heading to Queenstown, we made an unforgettable stop at the Alpine Centre Café (19 Luxmore Drive, Te Anau) for breakfast. Not only did we indulge in some of the best brownies and muffins ever, but we also got to feed llamas for just NZD 1! If you’re ever in Te Anau, this spot is a must-visit.

Once we reached Queenstown, our first stop was the iconic Fergburger for lunch. Trust us, the hype is real! This was hands down the best burger we've ever eaten, it was worth the wait. After filling up, we decided to take on the gondola and luge rides. The views from the gondola were breathtaking, and the luge ride was exhilarating. Just a quick tip: it gets extremely cold up there, especially when you're speeding down the luge, so make sure to layer up to stay warm.

We wrapped up our day at the newly opened Driftaway Holiday Park, which opened in 2022. The facilities here are top-notch and super clean. They even have a hot onsen pool you can pay to use, though we didn’t get a chance to try it this time.
